While it's not normally at the top of the list when it comes to shopping for a vehicle, seating is a vital part of the experience. After all, if you're planning on taking a road trip with family or friends at any point, it's important to be comfortable. Fortunately, the Volkswagen Atlas gives its Canton and Akron driver multiple options when it comes to how you relax in its cabin.

Three-Row Seating

No matter which way you swing it, the Volkswagen Atlas is a three-seater. It sits up to seven people in its cabin and is quite comfortable thanks to a plethora of headroom and legroom. Headroom measurements come in at 41.3 inches for the first row, 40.4 inches for the second row, and 38.3 inches for the back row. Meanwhile, legroom is quite cozy with 41.5 inches in the front, 37.6 inches in the second row, and 33.7 inches in the back row.

Upholstery Options

The Atlas can be outfitted with a range of upholstery options. The standard upholstery is cloth and comes on the base level Atlas S model. If you move up one trim level to the Atlas SE, the upholstery is upgraded to leatherette. However, if you want the best of the best, the Atlas SEL Premium trim level boosts the upholstery to genuine leather.

Seating Technology

As you move up trim levels, your seating options become more advanced in terms of technology. Heated front seats unlock on the Atlas SE trim level, while the Atlas SEL Premium adds ventilation technology to the front seats and heating to the second row.
